Kirk Lorange Brass Slide - Short

~ The Short Version ~

This is the original version, specifically designed for Standard and Dropped-D tunings. In these tunings, there is never the need to span all six strings. The shorter length makes it a little more comfortable to wear. The cross-section shows the extra thickness at the fingertips end.

Kirk Lorange Brass Slide - Long

~ The Long Version ~

After many requests, I made this longer version available for players who prefer open tunings, where you do often want to span all six strings. They're machined with the same extra thickness at the fingertip end to give them more mass, the secret to beautiful tone and long sustain.
110 grams of pure tone!

Best slide out there

Three reasons why this is the best slide out there-1) The weight. The slide does the work for you, across all strings, so you can concentrate on playing, 2) The size. Kirk’s slide isn’t as long as others I’ve owned which makes it more maneuverable and comfortable to use, 3) The tapered finger hole. The “barely smaller at the end” finger hole will give you a more secure hold on the slide, and with the size, also makes it more maneuverable. I not only tossed out all my other slides, I also bought a second one from Kirk—just in case.

At last

After trying just about every slide available over the years (I have a drawer full) this for me is the best, the extra weight keeps it in place. This is not the cheapest but the one I go to and now the only one I use.

Kirk is also very helpful.

Oooh, Baby!

Like most slide players, I collect slides. Always looking for the right one. This one's a home run. The double bore insures the slide always stays in place, a requirement for tasteful expression. The weight is perfect, creating beautiful round tones, but not too heavy. Love this slide! Thank you, Kirk, for designing and making it available.

Biggest Tone

I have four of Kirk's slides purchased over the last 6 years or so. I keep one with each guitar case. Best, biggest tone. I have over 30 slides of glass, ceramic, stainless, lightweight brass, even wood. None match the heavy brass tone.
